It is simple. If there is even one contradiction in the Bible then the Bible is NOT the Holy Inspired Word of God. If humans were able to manipulate the text in any way, then God did not preserve his truth for us with his mighty hand.  If you will just be honest with yourself, you will admit that there is not just a minor problem here or there, but the Bible is a complete travesty of errors from start to finish.
